Before anyone mentions it, Arne had declared Siege and related promos legal
for the side events and challenges a long time ago...
Deck Genesis: Paul has been playing Logan Ranger/Scout for a looong time.
It scared me. He once popped my Gnorrow Yaw hiding IN MY FIFTH RANK in one
shot, that caused 4 wounds. And had a Rapid Shot in hand, 'just in case'.
Then the Captain came along. When building a deck to take down the Dragon
Lord, the choice was obvious. Especially as Mike had come *that* close to
taking Al'drych down at GCUK with an essentially similar deck.
He tried, and if it hadn't been for a Darkhide Armour (known to be the only
one in the Deck), and *two* missed shots that on odds should have hit, Paul
would have taken him. And my house would contain a card people have paid
700USD for. Oh well.
Vince (he who *didn't* write all the decks in the Journal #3, but did write
something else) Turner, had been planning his *two* challenge decks all
weekend. One was to be Sorscha Turbo Q-Tip, the other, IIRC, was Krun. But
then he watched Paul's game.
Then, he was sat talking to one of Arne's helpers, who was reading his
Tyrgen card recently presented to him as a thank you for all the work he had
done to make the weekend a huge success. Vince says "Look, Tyrgen the 43rd
Warlord..." (different story).
I suggest starting an Archer Tower. The rest is history. First action,
turn two. an Icetalon'd shot from Tyrgen at +13. Rapid Shot, +11. Dead
Dragon Lord. Vince didn't stop crowing about it until we got to Bournemouth
Airport to collect our cars and go our separate ways. His last words to me,
as he got into his car, were "Did I mention, I killed a Dragon Lord?".
Yes Vince, you did...
And he's said it again in every email he's sent to various mailing lists ever since...

The scary thing is? I played against it in the plane on the way home (yes,
we did get some funny looks). Each turn from 2nd onwards, I had to spend
Sjonegaard to Cure Lethal himself. Despite multiple Skys, Slate Gargoyle,
etc, it still took me until turn 5 to finally break his ranks and kill the
git.
You see, there was a bounty on these Dragon things. He took it, like the
Mantis he is...
But, as Arne says on Warlordccg.de, the victory was technically illegal. Vince forgot to Bow before making the ranges strikes...
