From Nick Simmonds, posted on the Temple...
I'm moving on from this deck at this point; I'll tool around with it, and maybe take it to a few tourneys, but I've decided to focus my efforts on other decks now. This one is going to get plenty of attention from the rest of the world, and I'm sure itll be refined in ways I hadn't thought of. I'm going to post it with all of the cards I'm actually using in it now, so that the best version I've come up with is out there. We'll see if this has any effect on the environment:
Starters:
Shield - 3
Guardian - 2
Gnorrow Yaw
Characters
Magheline - 3
Basalt Gargoyle
Toren Yscar - 3
Earth Elemental - 2
Johan Halfblood - 3
Sethusk - 3
King X0d - 3
Rac Ironbone - 2
Gethseme Steelshard - 2
Kerebrus
Duchess Brymin
Terak Justicebringer
Actions:
Crush
Decay
Shatter (because it amuses me to have all three. Shatter/Crush/Decay-Mind/Body/Soul)
Banish the Wound - 3
Holy Energy - 2
The Gauntlet - 2
Blood Beneath Your Wings - 2
Cure Lethal Wounds - 3
Pact of Bone
Blue Willow Staff
Ring of Vorn - 2
Havat-lahn stance
Ring of Air - 2
Sigilsword
Tears of the Storm - 2
Mail of Virtue - 2
Thunderhammer - 3
Hember's Fist
A couple of quick notes on the changes: The Sigilsword is obvious, an answer to the addition of A/E characters to the environment. As to the Duchess and Terak: they were added to change the thrust of the deck more toward fighters, and to make all of the power cards Distrust-proof. The clerical power and card drawing goes down without Behlial, but with the Pact of Bone he wasn't absolutely necessary, and the Duchess makes up a lot of the card advantage problem, while also allowing Sethusk to enter the 4th rank and Terak the 5th. The Duchess, with a Thunderhammer, is going to draw a damn card, and there's not a lot the opponent can do about it. Terak is another character that can equip a Thunderhammer and play the Gauntlet, and he makes up for a lot of the lack or armor and weapons. Blackwind's disappearance reduces the deck's ability to deal with a line of weenies, but the Gauntlet makes up for a lot of that.
Johan is there for the BBYW combo, i.e., Rac Ironbone attacks, spend Johan, the Duchess attacks, spend Johan, King X0d attacks, spend Johan, play BBYW, spend Johan, Rac Ironbone attacks, spend Johan, the Duchess attacks, spend Johan, King X0d attacks, spend Johan and twiddle my thumbs because everyone's probably dead.
Also, even when BBYW isn't out it allows me to give Ironbone his order and immediately attack before my opponent can take advantage of the fact that Ironbone is tired.
I use the BWS primarily to avoid stunning effects like Prismatic Spray, or the Eye of Morghen. Remember that it applies to any magic (or poison) save, not just saves from spells. Also, I can stick it on Kerby for the tiny ATK boost if I don't have another weapon for him. It's such a tiny investment for the payoff that it's well worth it.
Special Bonus! The Anti-Abyssal version. This is the deck with a couple of revisions to make it play as well as possible against the Abyssal Attack deck:

There are more changes that can be made to boost its effectiveness against AA, but most of those reduce the overall chances of winning the tourney. I leave them up to you.
