This is a deck that I've build, post NOV. It's won one tournament with a 7-0 record, and placed 2nd with a 3-1 record in another.
Either Slate is 16/16 with the Fist, getting two attacks per turn (another straightens him), or he stands in the back readying Magma Gargoyles who punch through everyone. Rac is also the man to carry the fist.
The only change I just made was replacing a Tears of the Storm with a Bloodoak Staff. Why? Because the game I lost was to an Anton Crystalsphere deck, and the one I almost lost to was a Logan Sniper. The problem is that the only thing I can hope for is a Cure Lethal. Blood Oak deals with that a bit better.
It's running at 60, but I haven't had a problem with its size. Slate is really what makes the deck work on all levels, and hence why I am using 3. The two Wall 3 tarpit start rocks (pun intended). I've had more of my original starting army survive using this deck than most others.
