There is a significant debate amongst players about how to build the best deck. It is unlikely that we will ever all agree. If we did, we'd all start playing the same deck, and get very bored very quickly. The way you build a deck will depend upon a number of variables. Probably the most important are: What you want the deck to do, what environment you are playing in, and perhaps most importantly, what cards you have access to. Starting at random, we must first figure out who we'll be playing, and why. 1) Environment. A deck designed for Tournament level one on one games will be very different to a deck designed for a fun multi player game that will probably go on all night. A demo deck designed to encourage new players to take part in the game should be a lot less reliant upon card combinations and "power rares". |
